God's Beauty is Everywhere
"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen..." - Romans 1:20
The older I get, and the more I truly look around, the more I can see the beauty of God's creation around me. In a world that is so full of hate and discontent, I think we need to remind ourselves that this is not what He wants for us. We need to slow down, dig deeper into His word, and take a deep look at His creations that surround us daily.
From the sunrise, to the sunset, there is always beauty to be found. It can be found in the smile of someone you love, in the joy of finding new life on your farm, or just in sitting on your porch watching a lightning show. If you just dig deep, even when it's tough, you'll see His beauty.
It's also good to remember that His beauty lies within each of us. Not in what we wear, what our hair looks like, if we wear make-up, or what the world thinks we should be. As 1 Peter 3:3-4 says, "Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God."(NKJV) Our inner beauty, which comes from God, is always with us. We need to share this beauty with others, allowing them to see that it is what matters most, not material things.
