Caught in the Chase - My Honest Review of "I Love You, Mom!" + Giveaway!

Updated: Mar 5, 2022

"Mom, you have always said you are thankful to God for me, but I am the one who wants to say that I’m thankful for you."

I'm giving away one copy of I Love You, Mom! I'll be drawing one winner from the combined entries on Facebook and Instagram on launch day, March 8th, 2022! Winner will be notified via a message on the platform they entered through!

Helen McIntosh & Blythe Daniel make an incredible Mom/Daughter duo with their book, "I Love You, Mom!" It is dedicated to sharing many cherished word gifts from a daughter to her mother, and it does an incredible job of that!

I'm blessed to have been able to be a part of the launch team for this book and am excited to share my review with you. From the start, it had me speechless and teary eyed. These women have a way with words, and paired with beautiful scripture, it makes it hard not to get emotional. Their words hit home for how I feel about my own mother, and my mother-in law, as well as to how I feel about my daughter, as a mother. (I hope that makes sense, as I don't know how else to word it!)

I won't spoil the book for you, but this particular part of the book is too special to not share. "Sometimes as mothers we get caught up in the chase and don’t think about the lives we are helping to mold. We often feel we can’t hold our child close enough or long enough. Maybe, like Mary, you have thought about how you can hold on to the treasure of time and not release your child to the world just yet. You want to know that the one you are raising is close by. Do you recognize the gift of loving your son or daughter, who needs the love only you can provide? We need to express our love even on the days that don’t go as planned. "

Isn't that the truth? Showing love to our children is so important, especially on the days when nothing goes as planned. That can be a challenge, not because we don't want to show them love, but because we get so caught up in the negatives, we forget to take time and relish on the positives. What could possibly be more positive than knowing that we can love and cherish our children, just as the Lord loves and cherishes us. That we have a mother (or in my case a mother and mother-in-law) that also loves and cherishes us, as we do our children. Just thinking about the gift that each of these women are, gives me the chills.

I truly believe that this book is one that should be shared with all of the mothers out there. I plan to share it with mine, and hope you'll do the same. It's a great way to show them just how much you love and cherish them, one that has the ability to continue showing them with each page they read. Did I mention that Helen and Blythe included a couple of blank pages for you to write your own words of love to your mother, too?

You can currently pre-order, "I Love You, Mom!" at many book retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Barnes and Noble and more! The official release date is set for March 8th, 2022!

Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
